nativity is the best school in the world. the teachers are kind to everyone. and most of all you feel safe going to school and you feel loved
Thank you Nativity!
I have been a parishioner of Nativity Catholic Church for the past fifteen years. This parish has been one of the most integral aspects of my life as a son, brother, husband, and most recently, a parent of two beautiful children. My faith in God and my strength as an individual are deeply rooted from the experiences encountered at Nativity.
Nativity’s Christ-centered atmosphere at Mass, school events, the jamboree….even the Christmas tree sales tent, is second to none. Keep up the great work Men’s Club! My wife and I would not think twice about placing our trust in Nativity’s School program. What an incredible comfort knowing, that one of the best school’s in the Nation is located around the corner from home.
Thank you to all who continue to support our parish community! Avery special thanks to Rev. Murnane for being such an incredible role model and friend. And, finally, many thanks to Mrs. Ortiz for her strength as a leader in Catholic education…your work will be forever appreciated!

Nativity was a great experience for our son and for us.He received a great education with good values and high morals. He formed friendships that he carried on through Charminade and St. Thomas and now through college. He still goes to the carnival in Feb. and sees all the teachers and they all remember him. Our years at Nativity were great and are like a close knit family. Alot of us still keep in touch. (The kids, the parents)
There is not another school around that demands the excellence that Nativity demands from its students. I am very pleased with the faculty and staff that has proven itself over and over again. Nativity is simply the best.

My husband and I are highly educated individuals who have made our children's list of priorities as follows: God, health, happiness, education. With all of the choices available to us in private education, all of our priorities were matched in one institution: NATIVITY CATHOLIC SCHOOL. I must first extoll the virtues of Nativity from the standpoint of an insider. Just this morning, I walked the halls of Nativity to encounter smiling faces from the children, from the teachers, from Mrs. Skehan, from Marcia, from Mrs. Ortiz, from Fr. Grady, and from Fr. Murnane. What other place on this planet, let alone an educational institution, are we able to see the inner workings of a school all at the same time? Not one of these people, except for the students at task in their seats, were sitting behind a closed door. On the contrary, they were out and about, working with teachers, admininstrators, parents, and students to ensure that the presence of all is what makes for a successful education. I have graduated one student from Nativity whose training and foundation has allowed him to transition and excel at the best high school in South Florida. His commitment to the community was fostered by his involvement in the many clubs and organizations offered by Nativity. Nativity has more clubs and organizations than any other school in the Archdiocese. We are looked upon with great respect by the other schools who view us as the "Gold Standard" when it comes to academics and athletics. I have three other children who have always been treated as individuals, who have also excelled at Nativity, and who have taken advantage of all that the school has to offer. Above all, my children have always felt the presence of God in all of the classes they have been in. They have forged relationships with teachers and friends that have endured for 11 years now. The teachers offer the students the perfect blend of intense education with the kind hand of Our Lord. I have many friends with students at competing schools whose curriculum cannot be compared to that of Nativity.
We have been blessed to have our children touched by the grace of God in guiding us to Nativity. I am deeply saddened by the sour grapes of "CONCERNED PARENT" who used this website as a forum to make a disparaging account of what is obviously a disturbed individual who blames an entire institution for parental oversight. Any criticism of Mrs. Ortiz is completely off-base and unfounded. This is a woman with an open-door policy, who gives up her weeknights and weekends to better the education of our children. In a society that lags behind in math and science, I am proud to see signs that read we are number one in both subjects and that my children contributed to the process. Who could argue that striving for excellence in an academic environment is wrong? I dare say no one. Furthermore, Mrs. Ortiz is in constant contact with our Pastor, Fr. Murnane, and is a perennial presence at Holy Mass. I ask rhetorically, isn't this exactly what we want for our children's education? A leader who strives for academic excellence with her hand and heart constantly guided by God. I thank you, Nativity, and pray for continued success now and in the future.

Our hearts swell with pride to affirm that NATIVITY most certainly is #1! Any school can only be as good as its leaders...and by all standards of measure Father Murnane, Mrs. Ortiz, Mrs. Skehan and Marcia are the BEST! Under the guiding hands of these dynamic individuals the atmosphere at Nativity is loving, caring, compassionate, spirited, fun, creative, well-rounded and most of all Christ-like. This high-energy crew works in perfect harmony making the student body their primary focus addressing the spiritual/academic needs and directing each individual towards their personal best. With awe we reflect on the endless hours and tireless energy this team of Nativity Super Heroes puts forth in making Nativity #1. This amazing team deserves our sincere appreciation and gratitude for their personal sacrifices. We thank you for your love, dedication, warm smiles and loving hearts that strengthen our very special FAMILY BOND each of us experiences at Nativity. This team instills that wonderful sense of Family for the faculty, student body and our terrific Nativity parents. Its that feeling of FAMILY that makes working at Nativity special and not just a job. The faculty is amazing! Our son, after moving on to college, suddenly realized his Nativity teachers really would be excellent college professors because of their vast knowledge. Actually, he remembers each teacher with a a special memory and thoughts of very caring, dedicated individuals that put forth their best to help him excel. Our whole family holds a very special place in our hearts for Father Murnane. Its impossible to explain the depth of our feelings...so many special moments for our family that Father Murnane has played a very special part. God bless everyone at Nativity...You Are #1! And it is a privilege and honor to be a part of this wonderful "Nativity Family".
It is any parents' wish to provide the best for their child. When a parent chooses Nativity, they are choosing the best. I know first hand of the dedicated and caring teachers. Teachers who form bonds with their students, not just lessons. These students look to these teachers for their guidance. They are protected and loved.
What makes Nativity number one, reaches far beyond academics and athletics. It is one word: FAMILY. Nativity is a family. I have witnessed this family care for her young, nuture its staff and be the rock when one needs it the most. Life by no means is easy, and there are many obstacles that one must face. I know that my Nativity family has held my hand and guided me through those hard times. Nativity never fails its family. I will stand by and testify that Nativity by far outshines any other. Nativity opens doors for its students and its staff and let's them fly.
Both of my children attended Nativity School. They have graduated from college now. Both of them have mention to me many times that what they learned at Nativity laid such a strong foundation. It was still helping them in college and in the work world. Thanks Nativity. God bless all who have worked for the school in the past, present, and future. You help the children of our community become citizens of the world.

Nativity School has been a part of my life and my children's lives for twenty-two years. I have witnessed continued growth and change in those years. The school continues to achieve remarkable goals. In my family, we all love Nativity School. My children received a first rate spiritual and academic education. They forged friendships with people that have lasted throughout their younger years and have continued on into their adult years. They remember school activities as though they occurred yesterday, and have more memories than seem humanly possible. You might wonder why?
It is my belief that the presence of the Lord is so prevasive in every classrooom and in the face of every teacher, student, administrator and priest that you just love to come to school, learn and be a part of every activity that is offered to the student body. My thanks to all those responsible through the years for making Nativity so special for all the children who have been so fortunate to have shared the Nativity experience. I wish that when I was a child I could have had that same opportunity. Thank you Mrs. Ortiz, Father Murnane, Marcia, Mrs. Skehan faculty and staff, you make Nativity a very special place and I believe God smiles on those there each and everyday!
Proud to be part of the Nativity Family. The talent and dedication of the teaching staff is unparalleled. The level of support and involvement of the parents is a tribute to the exemplary leadership of Pastor, Fr. Murnane and "Principal of the Year", Mrs. Ortiz. The children at Nativity receive a superior education in a loving, caring and creative environment, with clubs and activities suitable for everyone. Nativity School is the "Best in Broward" as well as "Best of Hollywood"!!!

How Blessed I am to have my children attend Nativity Catholic School. The next time someone wants to complain about big class sizes, or the tuition, or the patience and leadership of the teachers, I wish they had attended October's all-school first friday mass. If they saw what I witnessed that day, they would feel very lucky to have their children at Nativity. The second grade students led the mass so beautifully you would think they were in the eight grade. I watched 7th graders set an example for their first grade prayer partners on how to behave appropriately in church. I watch a first grade teacher console one of her little students because she was crying. And at the end of mass, the ENTIRE congregation sang a beautiful Happy Birthday to a third grade teacher. You will NEVER see this in a public or private school because religion is not allowed or cannot be the focus of education. We are paying for a CHRIST-CENTERED Education and we sure got it that day. Thank you Nativity!!!!!!!!!
As a former parent of grown children who attended Nativity Pre-K through 8th grade, I attribute their success to the outstanding foundation they received at Nativity. No school, no organization is perfect, but Nativity sure comes close! I commend the entire staff at the school for their dedication to the students of Nativity School.

Father Murnane and Mrs. Elena Ortiz, I hope you have the opportunity to read what I have to say about the most magnificent school this side of heaven... because the praise belongs to you...
It's not about the ad signs pervading the community. They just reinforce Nativity's number one ranking and let those who don't know about Nativity, become educated about who we are. We are number one, of that you can be sure.. but on so many other levels than #1 in Math, #1 in Science and #1 in All Sports. You're merely touching the hem of the full garment with those plaudits, that praise. I have better statistics than those to proffer... I have visceral evidence that Nativity is the number one school in the community, the diocese, the state, the nation. Listen to what I have to say, Father Murnane and Mrs. Ortiz...
My children received an education par excellence at Nativity from the most kind, caring and educated teachers, each of whom left an indelible mark, The teachers took care of the minds, hearts, and souls of my children-- guiding them, instructing them and role-modeling for them the Chrisian faith through their example, daily. They received a fine and thorough education at their teachers' hands.
Nativity's teachers took upon temselves the role of my husband and me, as parents, continuing at school what values we lived and emphasized at home. Each one of our children remember to this day, their wonderful experiences at Nativity... from charitable events such as Mother Teresa Week to the Adopt a family gathering of food and clothing to help the less fortunate in our community.
God uses others as His hands to help in this world, doesn't He? Otherwise, how could He get His vast work done. Father Murnane and Mrs. Ortiz, in my eyes and in the eyes our family, it is the two of you who have been God's hands. You have led and guided and coordinated a very large family whose work has been master-synchronized to function and work for the good of the school and community. Your work has yielded such beautiful fruit... I think you only need to look at the accomplishments of your graduates over the years. Your leadership means everything, Mrs. Ortiz. You have transformed a great school into "the" school-- none of which could have been accomplished without Father Murnane's humble and beautiful shepherding. I never wonder, while driving around, why Nativity School ad signs, pervade the community lawns.
I wonder where or what Hollywood would be without you, "Our Dear Nativity."

Nativity is an outstanding school! Our sons have grown into amazing young men thanks to the immense impact Nativity had in their educational and spiritual formation. As parents we worked hard to instill values and morals that would help them make positive decisions in their future, Nativity modeled these and so much more. This does not just happen by chance, it takes great leadership to make a school number one. It takes a pastor who cares about his students and has not forgotten what a child's world needs. It takes a dedicated principal, who cares about each individual student and develops activities and programs to meet all their needs, and always placed her students first. Maybe that is why she received the award of Principle of the Year from the Archiodese of Miami. It takes a caring and loving faculty and staff, that encourage each student's best, and making sure to recognize their talents and abilities. Nativity showed our sons the meaning of giving back to their community through programs like Pennies from Heaven, Adopt A Family, Make A Wish and Mother Theresa Week.
Nativity has been a blessing to our whole family.
You are truly a number one school!

Nativity is simply the best catholic school! Our daughter an 8th grad student had a smooth transiton as a new student simply due to the warm and caring teachers in Nativity especially Mrs. Rohr her homeroom teacher. Mrs. Ortiz the principal does not stop to amaze us by knowing each students first name that made them feel special and safe. Knowing the Nativity's academic excellence we are happy and proud that our daughters are students at Nativity school. Also,
we would like to say, Marcia, she's the school administrative assistant, who is very professional and admirably calm in all that she does. You are exceptional and a great asset of Nativity among the great teachers and best administrative staffs. SIMPLY THE BEST SCHOOL.
