Members of the Youth Environmental Alliance, the Johnson Street Business District, residents of Hollywood Gardens West, students from McArthur High School and Apollo Middle School and other Hollywood residents worked together to plant 15 trees in celebration of Arbor Day.

Sarah Petrlka, a student at McArthur High School and a member of the Future Famers of America (FFA) said, “We are working together to plant these trees because we want to help the environment.”

“This is a chance for students to gain a sense of community and to give back,” Said Vincent Newman, the sponsor of the FFA at McArthur.
