Sheridan Tech and General Motors partner to train prospective technicians

Starting this school year, Sheridan Technical College and General Motors Corporation (GM) partner to train automotive technicians through the GM Automotive Service Educational Program (ASEP).
The program combines automotive service, academic coursework, and real-world internship experiences. These combined provide students comprehensive preparation for a career as an automotive technician. The program incorporates advanced automotive technical training with strong academic foundations. Students learn math, reading and electronics, as well as analytical and technical skills using GM products.
Sheridan Technical College GM ASEP instructors are National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence certified. Also, many have achieved GM World Class status, the highest achievement for a GM technician.
Sheridan Technical College students in the program alternate between the classroom and hands-on work experience at sponsoring GM dealership worksites. Students learn how to identify, analyze and solve complex automotive problems.
