Hollywood Hosts Argentinian Delegates for Economic Development Discussion

The ongoing economic excitement in the City of Hollywood’s prompted an economic development meeting and delegate visit from the Province of Córdoba, Argentina on Wednesday, June 13, at the soon-to-open Costa Hollywood Beach Resort.  Hollywood Mayor Josh Levy shared details on the city’s growth and how tourism continues to substantially increase local jobs and business revenue.

Evidence of the current boom in hotel investment and economic growth in Hollywood can be traced to 2013, when construction began on the Costa and, shortly after, the opening of Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.  South American investors continue to contribute to the city’s ongoing development.

“Hollywood is going through an exciting revitalization,” said Moses Bensusan, Developer & CEO of Costa Hollywood Beach Resort. “We look forward to working with more international groups, like the Argentine American Organization, to further tourism and growth in our community.”

Delegates in attendance at the conference included Miguel Siciliano, Secretary of Institutional Affairs, Province of Córdoba; Federico Javier Garcia, Mayor of Laguna Larga, Córdoba; Daniel Chiocarello, Mayor of Las Varillas, Córdoba; Silvana Gonzalez, Mayor of Malvinas Argentinas, Córdoba; Carmen Gloria Pereyra, Mayor of Villa Dolores, Córdoba; and Adrián Walker, Mayor of Miramar, Córdoba.

Costa Hollywood Beach General Manager Carlos Molinet led the discussion, sharing details on the 307-room hotel set to open later this year.
