The Hollywood Commission Approves Major Purchases

The Hollywood Commission approved some major projects during a recent meeting.

As part of the GO Bond project, the Commission agreed to a purchase order of $229,794 for the procurement and installation of playground equipment, playground surfacing, and shade cover at Bicentennial Park. The selected contractor for the project is Kompon, Inc.

It also agreed to a resolution that will allow city leaders to work with Synalovski Romanik Saye LLC for the purpose of architectural design services. The project is limited to a $195,000 budget for interior renovations of the Hollywood Branch Library.

Lastly, the Commission passed a resolution that allows the donation of law enforcement forfeiture funds, pursuant to Florida’s Contraband Forfeiture Act, in the amount of $110,000 to support continued safe neighborhood and crime prevention programs.
