Hollywood may get three K-8 schools

City of Hollywood leaders and Broward County Public School leaders are working on a plan that would create three K-8 schools in Hollywood.

During a recent meeting, Commissioner Caryl Shuham said it is important to encourage parents to place their children in public schools in Hollywood.

These are possibilities for new K-8 schools in Hollywood:

  • Driftwood Elementary and Driftwood Middle School
  • Attucks Middle and Bethune Elementary School
  • Hollywood Central Elementary School would be expanded to become a K-8 school.
