Free Smoke Alarm Installation Set for Sat., Feb. 1 for Boulevard Heights Residents

Hollywood Fire Rescue to offer free in-home smoke alarm installation

Hollywood Fire Rescue, in partnership with the American Red Cross, will be offering free in-home smoke alarm installation on Saturday, February 1st from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for residents living in single family homes from Hollywood Boulevard to Johnson Street between the Turnpike and 72 Avenue.

Hollywood Fire Rescue encourages residents to participate in the “Sound the Alarm” free smoke alarm distribution program. Having a working smoke alarm on your home cuts your risk of death from a fire by half.

To request a free smoke alarm installation, one should call the American Red Cross at 954 797 3800, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. now through January 29. Callers will be asked to provide their full name, address and phone number.
