Mayor Levy Addresses Hollywood Residents About COVID-19 Pandemic

Gov. Ron DeSantis declares a State of Emergency in response to Coronavirus

Mayor Josh Levy, Hollywood Fire Chief Rudy Jurado and Dr. Randy Katz Medical Director, Emergency Services for Memorial Regional Hospital addressed the Coronavirus situation on a Facebook Live event Mar. 13 at noon for Hollywood residents.

Mayor Josh Levy and local health officials gave a presentation about some of the things the city is doing to address issues regarding the coronavirus.

All city events through March have been cancelled. There is a modified screening process at city buildings and facilities for people who are entering. They will be asked questions about their health and medical situation at security checkpoints.

City leaders are encouraging people to practice personal hygiene such as complete hand washing. Also, people are being asked to practice social distancing. Large gatherings are being discouraged. Also, residents are being encouraged to  business with the city online rather than coming to city hall.
