As part of its continued support of the community and the arts, BBX Capital Foundation recently presented a $3,500 check to the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood to support the organization’s 2017 Summer Arts Camp and its Broadway Actors’ production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr. and Disney’s My Son Pinocchio, Jr. Lois Marino, Executive Director of BBX Capital Foundation, presented the check to Joy Satterlee, Executive Director of the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood, and Susan Rakes, Assistant Director of the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood; on July 7, prior to the camper’s performance of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr.
“It is such an honor to support the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood’s Summer Arts Camp Program which provides such a wonderful opportunity for youth to express their talents,” said Lois Marino, Executive Director of BBX Capital Foundation. “It was so much fun to watch the kids on stage as they presented their performance of Beauty and the Beast, Jr. to a sold-out crowd.”
The funds will support the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood’s mission to cultivate creativity and support the arts in their community through education, innovation, and collaboration. Enrollment for the Summer Arts Camps and the production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Jr. included 42 South Florida children and more than 450 people attended this show. Each summer, more than 200 youth, ages 4-18, from Broward and Miami-Dade, participate in the 18 unique sessions in the visual and performing arts area.

These funds help underwrite the Center’s goals to create high quality art programs for children and families in our community,” said Joy Satterlee, Executive Director of the Art and Culture Center/Hollywood.
