On Thurs., Feb. 22 a new 48,000 square foot Publix at Hollywood Circle opened replacing the original Young Circle which opened in 1963. Twice the size of the old store, the new location, across the street, is part of the landmark $200 million mixed-use Hollywood Circle development.
Approximately 150 Publix associates will be employed at the new store.
The deli will serve traditional offerings such as Publix subs, fried chicken, and rotisserie chicken and has been expanded to include freshly prepared foods, handcrafted sandwiches featuring Boar’s Head meats, signature subs, and a hot soup bar featuring gourmet soups daily.
The grocery aisles have been expanded to allow for an extended product offering of natural, organic foods and ethnic foods as well as beach apparel and items.
“We are so excited to open our doors and can’t wait for our customers to see all the enhancements their new Publix has to offer,” said Nicole Krauss, Publix’s Miami media and community relations manager. “We anticipate that our customers will be very pleased with the state-of-the-art design and additional products and services offered.”
Scott Drew returns as store manager having served customers at this Publix since January 2017. During the rebuild, Drew served as store manager at Publix at Hollywood Circle and has 12 years of service with Publix.
