60 Teams to Play in 4th Annual MLK Basketball Tourney Sat., Jan. 13

The Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts will host the fourth annual MLK Basketball Tournament on Saturday, January 13 at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 2400 Charleston Street, Hollywood.

Approximately 60 teams have been formed with 500-600 school-aged children from all over South Florida.

The tournament begins at 8:00 a.m. Teams will compete in full-regulation games with each team guaranteed to play at least three games. The winning teams move on to bracket play where they will compete in 5-6 additional games to determine the Champion.

Medals for the MVP, the All-Tournament player, and The Hustle Award will be presented before the Championship Team Trophy is awarded at 5 p.m.

Fans of all ages are welcome to come and cheer!
