Chaminade-Madonna was unable to overcome American Heritage in high school football. The Lions lost the game 31 to 21. Both teams are powerhouse programs. American Heritage entered the game ranked number one in the Florida 5A classification and Chaminade-Madonna came into the contest ranked number one in 3A. Chaminade-Madonna has a 3-2 record. The Lions other loss came against Deerfield Beach which is ranked number one in the 8A classification.
Chaminade-Madonna performed well in the game. Thaddius Franklin scored a touchdown on a six-yard run. Defensive back Deidrick Stanley had an interception which he ran back 90 yards for a touchdown. Another Lions score came from a 50-yard touchdown pass play from Daelen Menard to Elijah Canion. Menard had 12 pass completions on 23 attempts. Receiver John Dunmore had eight catches for 79 yards and Franklin rushed for 92 yards on 13 carries.
