Hiring Event Will Support One of Broward County’s Largest Economic Sectors
CareerSource Broward will host its annual Hospitality and Retail Industry Job Fair on Thursday, Sept. 5, at its Hollywood headquarters at 7550 Davie Road Extension. The one-day hiring event will make it easy for South Florida job seekers to meet and connect with employers in one of Broward County’s largest economic sectors.
Some of the employers scheduled to participate in the job fair include Amazon, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, W Fort Lauderdale, Macy’s, El Dorado Furniture, Riverside Hotel, Wawa, YMCA of Fort Lauderdale and more. Available positions to be filled from the applicants pool at the event will include retail salesperson, cashier, host/hostess, warehouse manager, housekeeper, front desk associate, laundry attendant, culinary/cook/chef, and more.

According to recent data released by the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Deerfield Beach, FL Metropolitan Division added more than 1,400 leisure and hospitality jobs in July 2019, with nearly 96,500 individuals employed in that economic sector. The retail trade industry currently employs over 110,000 workers throughout Broward County.
