ARTS ASPIRE SUMMER SESSION

June 8 – August 14
The Summer Session of the program focuses on developing and building participants’ leadership skills and gives them the opportunity to work in a creative environment while assisting in one of our three Summer Arts Camps: Broadway Actors, Young Actors + Young Artists, and Littlest Actors + Littlest Artists. Students will expand their knowledge and understanding of the many facets of visual and performing arts, such as set design, curatorial functions, theater production, musicality, choreography, multiple art mediums/projects and so much more while being mentored by arts-education professionals. Arts Aspire Summer Session hours are Monday – Friday from 8:45 am – 4:15 pm with additional evening performances for Broadway Actors.
Teen Arts Ambassadors for ages 14-18
Designed for students who are looking to gain first-time workplace experience in the arts. Community service hours are provided. As a Teen Arts Ambassador, you will gain experience working directly with professional teachers to help children with arts activities, rehearse for and present live performances, design art exhibitions, and much more!
Specific Teen Arts Ambassador Positions Available in 2020 Summer Sessions:
- Broadway Actors Ambassador
- Young Actors + Young Artist Ambassador
- Littlest Actors + Littlest Artist Ambassador
Teen Arts Ambassadors can apply to participate in either or both of the 5-week Arts Aspire Summer Sessions. Applicants must commit to at least one full 5-week session.

- Session 2: July 13 – August 14
Teen Arts Ambassador Summer 2020 Application
Arts Associates for ages 17-18
Designed for students seeking worksite experiences in the arts with the opportunity to lead specific projects. Community service hours and stipend pay available. As an Arts Associate you will complete focused training in multiple areas, gain project-based training in creative decision making and professional skills, shadow our staff, and receive firsthand experiences throughout the summer. Some Associates may be eligible to receive a stipend at the conclusion of their project.

- Wardrobe and Set Associate
- Marketing Associate
- Technical Theater Associate
- Exhibition Associate

Arts Associates Summer 2020 Application
Arts Apprentice for ages 18-25
Designed for young adults who are looking to work in a focused area of interest and receive project-based leadership experiences. As an Arts Apprentice you will gain professional skills in the arts while working under the guidance of an established arts professional. Some awarded positions may receive an hourly stipend.

Once applications have been reviewed, candidates who have met all the requirements will be invited to an interview with Education Department staff. Interviews will be used to determine compatibility of candidates with camp programs, exhibitions and to appoint positions.
