This fall, the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood is offering arts opportunities for children and teens, beginning with ARTastic Collaborations on Thursday, Sept. 4. The Center also offers private music, visual arts, and performing arts instruction by appointment.
ARTastic Collaborations is an interdisciplinary program for children in grades K-3 who enjoy both the visual and performing arts. For the first half of each session, students will be immersed in drawing, painting, and mixed-media art. The second half of the lesson will include instruction in drama, improvisation, storytelling, music, and movement. This class is designed to encourage individual student creativity, build concentration, and increase self confidence for speaking in front of peers. Students are sure to have a truly ARTastic experience!
Private Instruction is offered in music, visual arts, and performing arts. Disciplines include Acting/Public Speaking, Creative Writing, Guitar, Percussion, Piano, Recorder/Flute, Songwriting, Violin, Visual Arts, and Voice.These lessons give students the ability to progress at their own pace, allowing them to gain full understanding of the discipline being taught. No prior experience is required.

ARTastic Collaborations
Six Thursdays (Sept. 4, Sept. 11, Sept. 18, Sept. 25, Oct. 2, Oct. 9): 4 to 6 p.m. (grades K-3); Art and Culture Center of Hollywood’s Art School, 1626 Harrison St.; cost is $150 for members and $165 for non-members.
Private Instruction
Private lessons are given by appointment only. A one-hour lesson is $55 for members and $60 for non-members. A six-lesson package costs $300 for members and $330 for non-members.
