“It’s important that we make a difference in the lives of individuals battling cancer by raising funds to ensure the community has the best cancer treatments in its own backyard,” said Ferre-Kosar. “As a Florida native, I’ve been privileged to watch Memorial’s growth and development as a leader in healthcare industry and I’m thrilled to now contribute to that in my new role.”
The Memorial Cancer Institute is one of the largest cancer centers in Florida, treating more than 4,300 new patients a year.
Ferre-Kosar also spent three years of her professional career as development director of Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies of Broward County and has served on various charity and community boards. She was a Guardian Ad Litem in the Dependency Court System and received considerable recognition for her volunteer efforts, including the Valor Award, Champion for Children’s Award, Woman of the Year, Mother of the Year, Outstanding Woman of Broward County, and Woman of Style and Substance.
