While I take great joy having bet heavy on Runas
Peruvian Cuisine when they first opened (and what a payoff that was), I must admit
owners, Tony Dominquez Zehnder, Gerardo Landa and Luis Santos slipped their Runeros Brasa & Grill (Runas poquito
hermano) right under my nose (1920 Tyler Street).
Ahh, the flamed grilled chicken is to die for and a
steal at the price, as is there varied menu of scrumptious options (lunch and
dinner seven days a week).
The biggest news, however, is that Runeros is now
serving breakfast daily (8am). Classic Americano (think eggs, potatoes, meats et
al.) with a Peruvian twist—Ole!
There don’t seem to be a lot of breakfast options in
Downtown Hollywood, so Runeros is sure to catch on quick. A downtown joint,
open early, reasonably priced with breakfast fare to wake-up to!
Not many places can boast Breakfast, Lunch and
Dinner in our Hip Omelet, I mean Hamlet…
