Broward and Hollywood Charter Review Committees Announce Public Hearings

Hollywood Charter Review Hearing – March 5

All are invited to attend the second City of Hollywood Charter Review Committee Public Hearing on Monday, March 5,  from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Hollywood Beach Culture & Community Center, 1301 South Ocean Drive in Hollywood.

The committee has been taking a comprehensive look at the City of Hollywood Charter,  which outlines the City’s governmental structure. Once the review has taken place, the committee will submit proposals to amend or revise the Charter to the City Commission. The Commission is then required to place the Charter Review Committee’s proposals on the ballot at the next presidential or gubernatorial election, whichever occurs first. This Public Hearing is an opportunity for residents to share their comments and suggestions for committee consideration.

The City’s Charter Review Committee Chair will present an update on the committee’s recommendations, then open the discussion for public comment.
