Broward County Library Celebrates National Library Week with “Recycle Book Program” at Hollywood Main Branch

Unknown 1 2

Celebrated since 1958, National Library Week is a national observance to recognize the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support.

As part of the celebration, the Broward County Library is asking residents to share how a library has transformed you. Share your Broward County Library WOW via Facebook and Twitter using #BCLWOW hashtag or email librarymarketing@Broward.org to share how their library services and resources WOW you.

To help promote literacy, the Education Advisory Committee continues with their “Recycle Book Program.” The donation program was created to help families build their own home library. Drop off your new or gently-used children’s books for infants through young adults during regular business hours at City Hall, 2600 Hollywood Boulevard on the 1st Floor. Donated books will be distributed to eligible Hollywood families via the Community Enhancement Collaboration, Inc.

For more information on the Recycle Book Program call Clay Milan, Community Development Manager, at 954 921 3271 or via email at cmilan@hollywoodfl.org.
