Broward Schools Superintendent praises proposed state budget

Broward Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie is pleased that the State of Florida budget, proposed by Governor Ron DeSantis, includes more money for teachers. He issued a statement praising Gov. DeSantis for his goal to provide more money for education.

“We appreciate that Governor DeSantis is continuing the conversation about increasing teacher pay. It is the right conversation to have,” said Runcie. “Along with the plan to raise the minimum teacher salary to $47,500, we have to keep in mind that our veteran teachers should also benefit from any salary increase.”
