A group of future business leaders recently had the opportunity to present their business to a group of panelists during a recent SPARK Hollywood event at the Circ Hotel. The presentation was similar in style to Shark Tank and the panelists had an opportunity to ask the up and coming business executives questions.
The presentations were all very enthusiastic and were well received. The event was put on in a partnership with the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the City of Hollywood. Christopher Mundy of Lock It Plates was the winner. He and his co-founder Johnny DeWar were pleased with the win. The company produces plastic plates that lock together and are perfect for storing and transporting food. “I hope to sell this on college campuses and other places where people could use these plates to store food,” said Mundy. “I was pleased with the win. It will be good for the company.”
Lock It Plates won $5,000 and other benefits.
Krystal Kunyve Zheng won third place and $500 for her company Savr. She is producing an app that will encourage people to visit various stores. She enjoyed being a part of the SPARK event.
