The Florida Department of Transportation is in the process of beginning their Bus Shelter Improvement Project along US 1 from SE 9th Street in Hallandale Beach to SE 30th Street in Fort Lauderdale.
Single lane closures will occur Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and Monday through Thursday between 8:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. at specific work zone locations, as needed.

FDOT has awarded a contract to Florida Engineering and Development Corporation for these improvements. This $1,034,836 million dollar project will involve Hollywood.
The work includes the installation of 11 bus shelters along the project limits in Hollywood. There will be upgraded signalization at 18 intersections to provide traffic signal priority for public transit buses.
Construction is scheduled to being on October 7th with anticipated completion in Spring 2020.
