Camelot Days Offer Medieval Fun at TY Park

The annual Camelot Days Medieval Festival offered people a chance to go back to the medieval period and have some fun.

You could be a Pope, king, queen, peasant, knight, pirate or any other character from a bygone time. And you could enjoy lots of entertainment, food, and drink. You could munch on a turkey leg or have a beer.

“This was a good event,” said Bradley Gerber, who led Camelot Days. “We had six stages and the weather was great. We had a fire and whip show, jousting and entertainers.”

The Royal Chessmen put on fun and entertaining show featuring the story about a conflict between Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham. The History of Chivalry put on real combats which included people in armor fighting to a draw. There was lots of musical entertainment. There were also encampments were people could learn about medieval life.
