Chaminade Madonna football team wins third consecutive state football championship

Chaminade Madonna defeated Florida State University High School 35 to 20 to win its third consecutive Class 3A state championship. Thaddius Franklin lead the Lions scoring effort with 333 yards rushing on 47 carries and five touchdowns. Franklin scored on the Lion’s first possession. Within, a short time, he scored another touchdown. He scored another touchdown before the end of the first half. Franklin scored two more touchdowns in the second half of the game. Franklin is a junior which means he will be coming back next year for another season.
