Hollywood’s Diamonds in the Rough Celebrates its 20th Anniversary Teaching Life Values to Kids Through Golf

It’s a significant year for Hollywood’s Gems in the Rough, Inc! The youth-oriented Golf foundation is commemorating its 20th anniversary this year, and is set to organize its 20-Year Anniversary Charity Golf Tournament — for the 20th straight year — on Saturday, April 14th at the Orangebrook Golf and Country Club in Hollywood, Florida.

Miss Hollywood USA and a few of the wonderful Gems volunteers Taneil Carl and AshleyGems in the Rough is a 501c3 non-profit foundation committed to offering a stage to introduce youngsters, aged 7 to 14, to the sport of golf while nurturing crucial life-enhancing principles through the activity.

Hollywood’s Gems in the Rough, Inc. was founded in 1998 through the motivation and cooperative initiatives of a local clique of community champions, city authorities and golf enthusiasts in Hollywood, Florida.

The aim of Hollywood’s Gems in the Rough, Inc. is to assure that all youngsters in our local neighborhoods, irrespective of social and economic circumstances, have an equal opportunity to discover their unique potential through the sport of golf. Its golf programs grant primary and middle-school aged kids in the wider Hollywood region with fundamental golf lessons, playtime, and an environment and syllabus that boosts character traits required for achievement. Hollywood’s Gems in the Rough grants Hollywood kids a secure, affable, and receptive environment where they can engage in an athletic educational involvement.1st Place Winners

“To make our twentieth year the most successful yet, our aspiration is to persist in collaborating with local enterprises.” stated Janet Moller, Head of the Board of Directors of the foundation. She appended, “We extend a warm invitation to all individuals, enterprises and organizations to get involved, sponsor and offer voluntary assistance for the happening. Gems Board Financial Officer, Yasir Billoo, Esq. is functioning as the Tournament Chairperson and we are delighted to have as our Honorary Chairperson, Chris O’Brien, Interim Chief of Law Enforcement at the City of Hollywood.”

“We are expecting 100 or more golf players,” reported Mallorie Marshall Berger, Managing Director of Hollywood’s Gems in the Rough, Inc. Berger proceeded with, “It’s the foundation’s 20th Anniversary and we’re enthusiastic to host another tournament to support our youth schemes.”

The tournament will commence with registration at 7:00 am and a shotgun start at 8:00 am. The configuration is a 4-player Scramble. There will be rewards for Hole-In-One, Longest Drive and Closest To The Pin competitions, as well as rewards for the triumphant teams. A Live Auction will be conducted along with lotteries for present packs and door gifts. A light breakfast will be catered and a luncheon will be served at Nikki’s on the Green.
