The City of Hollywood just launched a redesigned website. The goal is to provide residents, business owners and visitors with easier access to the City’s information and services. The site went live October 3.
Yearly, more than 1 million visitors log on to the Hollywood website, hollywoodfl.org. More than 100,000 unique visitors log in each month to pay their utility bills, see the calendar for upcoming meetings and events in Hollywood and to gain access to other online services, said Joann Hussey, spokesperson for the City. Those visitors will likely be pleased with the site’s improved design.
Hollywood’s website has been modernized and now includes a mobile-responsive design to allow smartphone and tablet users a better experience. When mobile device users access the site, the layout automatically adapts to fit a device’s screen size.
Large graphics now highlight important news and announcements. Bold, one-click buttons also quickly direct users to bill payment options, employment opportunities and other applications. The “Open Government” button guides visitors to important documents such as Hollywood’s annual budget, or to City Commission meeting agendas.
