City of Hollywood approves major purchases

The Hollywood Commission agreed to some major expenditures during a recent meeting.

It agreed to a resolution to allow city leaders to execute an agreement with Hope South Florida to provide rent and utility assistance using State Housing Initiatives Partnership Funds in an amount not to exceed $510,000.

The Commission agreed to allow city leaders to execute a series of consultant’s authorizations to proceed with Chen Moore & Associates for professional engineering services for the design of three mast arm traffic signal structures at Hollywood Boulevard and 26th Avenue in an amount not to exceed $149,865.

It agreed to a resolution to approve a contract with Envirowaste Services Group for manhole repair services related to a gravity sewer system condition assessment, renewal and replacement program as identified in the 2007/2008 Wastewater System Master Plan in the amount of $309,500.

The Commission agreed to a resolution to accept the Fiscal Year 202 Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Grant program from the U.S. Department of Justice in an amount of $129,126.

It agreed to a resolution to allow city leaders to execute maintenance agreement with RaceTrac Petroleum to maintain landscape improvements within the State Road 84 Rights of Way associated with the RaceTrac gas station and convenience store.

It agreed to a resolution to approve an agreement with Community Enhancement Collaboration to provide food to seniors through its Client Choice Pantry Program using Community Development Block Grant CARES Act COVID-19 funds in an amount not to exceed $24,960.
