At the beginning of July, the City’s the Great Neighborhoods Challenge II was extended an extra 33 days to help participants combat unpredictable weather conditions and complete their property improvement projects. The deadline was extended to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014.
If you’re still working on your property you have four weekends left to complete those projects. You could win up to $2,500 in cash for your efforts.
Remember, your neighborhood is counting on you to finish your improvements and submit your “after entry” to help your neighborhood reach the minimum required participation of 25 residents/businesses to be eligible to submit a Public Space improvement worth up to $25,000!
If you have already submitted an “after entry” for your home or business, you still have some time left to complete additional improvements if you choose to do so. Simply submit a new “after entry” via the GNC website at http://www.hollywoodfl.org/GNCII. If you prefer, you can deliver a paper entry to the Department of Community & Economic Development located in Room 203 at City Hall prior to the new deadline of 3PM Tuesday, September 2, 2014.
The City of Hollywood awarded over $30,000 in cash prizes to first, second and third place winners throughout the City in the inaugural Great Neighborhoods Challenge and over $7,000 in gift cards. In addition, three eligible neighborhoods won a public space improvement worth up to $25,000 each!
“After” entries will only be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Late entries will be automatically disqualified. Judging takes place September 3rd – 30th and winners will be recognized in October. If you need help submitting your entry or have any questions, call 954.921.3271.
