Free expungement workshop set for april 11 for broward residents

Have you ever been arrested in Broward County? Do you want to know if you qualify to have your adult or juvenile record sealed or expunged?

If you were charged with a crime in Broward County and the case did not result in a conviction, you may be eligible to have a single arrest record sealed or expunged.

Residents are invited to attend a “one-stop” workshop where services will be provided at no cost, answer questions and determine if you qualify to have your record sealed or expunged.

Volunteers who work for the Broward State Attorney’s Office, the Broward Clerk of Courts and the Broward Sheriff’s Office will assist members of the public who attend next sealing and expungement workshop on April 11.

WHAT: Free workshop for people who want to have an arrest record sealed or expunged.

WHEN: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019

WHERE: City of Tamarac, Tamarac Community Center, 8601 West Commercial Blvd., Tamarac, Florida 33351

ADMISSION: Free. Applicants must bring a photo ID and juveniles must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This event is FREE but please note that FDLE charges a $75 processing fee that must be included when you mail the completed application form.

If you are eligible, our staff will help you prepare the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) application and gather the documents that must be submitted with your application.
