The local volunteer hub HandsOn Broward has stepped up to offer the support of its many helping hands as volunteers from all corners of the community turn out to distribute water, serve meals, clean up parks and support the recovery needs of nonprofits.

Nonprofits seeking volunteer support and individuals who are interested in volunteering should visit HandsOn Broward’s website atwww.HandsOnBroward.org or call 954-233-1300.

“The deployment of spontaneous volunteers to meet the needs of organizations and individuals impacted by an emergency is critical for response and recovery,” said Dale Mandell, President and CEO of HandsOn Broward. “Through our Volunteer Reception Center, HandsOn Broward is able to mobilize volunteers with the skills and tools necessary to respond to community needs following a disaster.”
