Hollywood begins preliminary plans for first-time home buyer assistance of $50k

Home ownership is one step closer to becoming a reality for first time home buyers in Hollywood thanks to a proposed purchase assistance program.

First time home buyers will be eligible to buy a single family home, town home or condominium with $50,000 in assistance from the City.

The properties being considered for purchase must be located in low to moderate income (LMI) areas in Hollywood.

“The city is excited to be offering this program with funding that is now available through the ILA agreement for first time home buyers,” said Joann Hussey, spokesperson for the City.

The City of Hollywood is in the preliminary planning stages and is anticipating the launch of the program in the coming months.
