The Hollywood Commission Approved a Septic-to-Sewer-Conversion and More at its March 21 Meeting

The Hollywood Commission approved the following major purchases during the March 21 meeting.

It agreed to work with Craven Thompson and Associates to provide professional engineering services for the Driftwood Septic to sewer conversion phase one in the amount of $1,055,170.

The proposed work will consist of surveying, design, permitting and bidding services for approximately 91,950 linear feet of gravity sewer main and laterals, two sanitary sewer lift stations and associated force mains and hydraulic calculations. This is part of an ongoing effort by the City to connect neighborhoods that are relying on septic tanks to sewer lines. The project will take about 15 months to complete.

It agreed to execute a contract with TV Diversified for manhole replacement services related to the gravity sewer system replacement program in the amount of $331,375.

Finally, it agreed to work with AT&T Services for wired communications in an estimated amount of $910,000 for a three-year term.
