Hollywood Commission Approves Major Purchases

The Hollywood Commission approved some major purchases during the July 3 meeting.

It approved a resolution to allow city leaders to issue purchase orders to Auto Nation Chevrolet, Stingray Chevrolet, Duval Ford, Alay Jay Chevrolet and Palmetto Ford Truck Sales for the purchase of vehicles for the Public Utilities Department in the total amount of $498,245.

The Commission agreed to a resolution to allow city leaders to issue a blanket purchase order with Strobes-R-Us for the purchase and installation of emergency and related equipment for law enforcement, fire rescue and beach safety and general fleet vehicles on an as-needed basis in the estimated amount of $555,000.

The Commission agreed to develop a new purchase order with T 2 Systems for web hosting and extend by phone services for city multi-space pay stations for a seven-year period with an estimated cost of $127,340 in the first year and $119,340 annually thereafter.

It agreed to issue a purchase order to Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co. for the purchase of one Thompson pump in the total amount of $49,171.
