Hollywood Commission passes Hyde Beach Resort

The Hollywood City Commission unanimously approved the Hyde Beach Resort project on second and final reading during the regular City Commission meeting on April 16.

The project had been known as the Hyde Resort & Residences but now is called the “Hyde Beach Resort,” and will have 40 stories, according to Joann Hussey, spokesperson for the City of Hollywood.

The Resort will have 40 year-round residential condominium units and 367 hotel condominium units that owners and guests can stay in up to five months at a time (150 days). The condominium prices will range from $1 million to $1.6 million and the hotel-condominium units from $400,000 to $1.1 million.

The Resort will be located on a 1.6 acre lot at 4111 South Ocean Drive just north of the Hallandale Beach landmark water tower. It will include a spa, fitness center and pool. Construction for the foundation of the Resort has begun and above construction is expected to begin in August. The Resort is expected to open its doors in 2016.  It is being developed by The Related Group.
