The Hollywood Commission voted to continue its relationship with its longtime lobbyist The Cormac Group.
City staff had recommended establishing a new relationship with Van Scoyoc Associates. But after a presentation by Cormac, the Commission voted to continue the relationship. Cormac will receive $72,000 and up to $5,000 for ancillary services. The annual amount is not to exceed $77,000.
During the discussion, Commissioner Peter Hernandez said he was concerned that the relationship might be too cozy. This might discourage other companies from competing for business opportunities with the city.
