Hollywood Council of Civic Associations Offers Five $1K Scholarships for Local Students Graduating This Year

Deadline to Apply May 1

Are you a Hollywood resident student graduating this year from South Broward, McArthur, Hallandale or Hollywood Hills High School, and going on to higher education?

If so, according to the Friends of Hollywood‘s March 5th e-newsletter, you are eligible to submit an application for a scholarship check in the amount of a $1000, made out to you, to help you make the transition.

This year the Hollywood Council of Civic Associations, through its 5th Annual Be Mine Dog Show, raised sufficient funds to give five $1000 scholarships.

To honor the legacy of community activist and founding member of the Hollywood Council of Civic Associations, Pete Brewer, the main qualification for the scholarship includes requirement concerning civic or community involvement.

The deadline for applications is May 1, 2020.

Scholarship checks will be awarded at a regularly scheduled City Commission meeting.
