Hollywood Hills High Marching Band is ready for fall season

The Hollywood Hills High School Marching band is getting ready for the fall season.

Band Director Jeffrey Lawson, in his third year at the school is pleased with the students who are coming back this year. “We have more students and we are looking forward to having a stronger program. We want to up the level of our performances,” he said.

The marching band will perform at football games and in competitions during the fall. The band also plans to travel to a number of competitions in Florida; they expect to do quite well.

There are 70 students in the marching band and about 160 students in the overall band program. Most members see the band as an extended family and love the camaraderie of practices and performances.
