Members of the Hollywood Hills High School Robotics team traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to participate in a VEX robotics competition.
They competed with teams from around the country. “We faced some strong competition and gained some valuable experience,” said Deb Houts, the robotics teacher at Hollywood Hills.
The Hollywood Hills team built a robot and then programmed it. During the competition, the team programmed the robot to pick up and then fire yellow balls. They also programmed the robot to complete a climbing exercise. Yulian Duran, is the robot driver and lead mechanic. “I enjoy working with robots and being on the team,” he said.
