Hollywood Police investigate Quality Inn shooting; seek information from community

On Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 3:10 p.m., the Hollywood Police Department responded to a reported shooting at the Quality Inn located at 2520 Stirling Road.

One individual was discovered shot. Upon their arrival, Hollywood Fire rescue transported the victim to Memorial Regional Hospital. The victim is currently in stable condition. The police are not releasing the victim’s identity due to the ongoing active investigation. The suspect is an African American man, age 25 to 27 years old, about 5’10” – 6’0″ with a thin build and medium length hairstyle. The suspect vehicle is a 2012 – 2015 White, four door Nissan Altima.

Surveillance video shows a white Nissan leaving the Hollywood motel after shooting.  At this time, the incident does not appear to be a robbery.

Hollywood Police Department detectives are actively working the scene and following up on leads.
