Hollywood resident recieves at&t’s president’s volunteer service award

Hollywood Resident and AT&T employee, Daphne Dilbert received AT&T’s Silver President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). The PVSA recognizes individuals who demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism throughout the year.

The award maintains 3 levels:

  • Bronze – for those who volunteer between 100–249 hours in a 12-month period
  • Silver – for those who volunteer between 250-499 hours in a 12-month period
  • Gold – for those who volunteer more than 500 volunteer hours in a 12-month period

Dilbert is among 155 AT&T employees statewide and 4,149 AT&T employees nationwide to receive a PVSA.

She volunteers much of her time through the AT&T Pioneers, a nonprofit network of active and retired AT&T employees who support local communities with their time and money.

Dilbert has been an active volunteer for over 25 years. Her volunteer work involves feeding and clothing those in need, supporting Black Girls CODE and STEM education programs, helping with back-to-school supply drives and the Special Olympics, assisting with blood drives, and much more.

According to Dilbert, “I believe whole-heartedly in the saying, ‘Go the extra mile, it’s never crowded.’ The joy I feel when helping others is immeasurable. There’s no greater mark to leave in life than making a difference in another’s life. I’m just grateful I work for a company that not only supports my volunteer efforts, but also encourages me to do even more.”

Dilbert received a personalized PVSA certificate, pin, and congratulatory letter from the president of the United States.
