Hollywood's new online and pay-by-phone utility payment system now available

Over the past several weeks the City of Hollywood Department of Public Utilities has been working to enhance the payments options for customers to pay their utility bills.  You can now make a payment online, by calling the automated Pay-By-Phone system, by mail or in person at City Hall.

What You Need to Know
Visit www.hollywoodfl.org and click on the Payment Center button located on the left side of the home page.  When you get to to the utility payment page, you will be able to pay your utility bill using the single payment option found on the left side of the screen.  In the coming days, customers will be able to set up an account using the “Simplify Your Life” option which will remember account information for ease of payment. Look for additional information on the availability of these service enhancements in the coming days.

Pay-By-Phone
Customers also now have the option to use the 24-hour Pay-By-Phone interactive voice response (IVR) system.  The number to call is 954.921.3938.  Please note: The maximum payment allowed in an individual session using the Pay-By-Phone option is $500.  The automated system takes users step-by-step through the process to pay over the phone.  Callers will also have the option to speak to a Customer Service representative during normal business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

For Check or Money Order Payments
If you are paying by check or money order, you can use the convenient 24 hr drop box located on the north side of City Hall in the drive through lane or mail in your payment.  All drop box payments must be by check or money order only.

For Cash and Credit Card Payments
The City accepts drive through payments from 7:30 a.m. to 4:55 p.m. Monday through Friday.  All cash and credit card payments must be made in person or via the drive through during normal business hours.

If You Have Not Received Your Bill
Due to the transition to the new utility billing system your utility bill could be delayed by up to three weeks.  If your bill is delayed, you will still have a full 21 days to pay your bill without incurring any penalties.

If You Need to Start Service
To open a new utility account, you will need
                • A state issued photo ID
                • A copy of your lease (if you are renting) or closing documents (if you are the new property owner)
                • The appropriate deposit (the deposit rate sheet can be found on the City’s website at www.hollywoodfl.org.  Deposits for residential water, sewer and garbage services range from $40 – $185)
                • A completed Utility Service Application

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
If you currently have a balance due on your account, please make payment arrangements as soon as possible so that you will not incur late fees or service interruptions.
