Hollywood seeks high schoolparticipants    students feb. 26

The City of Hollywood African American Advisory Council invites high school students to participate in a poetry/spoken word night at Hollywood City Hall on Thursday, February, 26th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Students are encouraged to write their poems based on the topic of “BLACK MIGRATIONS – MOVEMENT OF THE PEOPLE.”

Students must be prepared to recite their poem during the event. First place winner will receive an “Apple Smart Watch” second place winner will receive a “Samsung Smart Watch” and the third place winner will receive an “LG SmartWatch.”

Poems must be submitted prior to the event. Submit your poem for consideration at www.hollywoodfl.org/slam.
