In collaboration with the Hibernians of Hollywood and the Community Redevelopment Agency, the City of Hollywood has announced the St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival in Downtown Hollywood has officially been cancelled.
The decision to cancel was made out of an abundance of caution due to concerns over COVID-19 and the state of emergency declared by Broward County.
The City is diligently monitoring the development of COVID-19 and is taking the necessary precautions for the safety and well-being of the community.
The City has also cancelled all City-sponsored special events planned for through next week, including the monthly Beach Sweep Clean-Up, Hollywood West Concert series, Monday Night Food Trucks Event at the ArtsPark at Young Circle and Hollywood Happy Day.
For the latest status update on additional City-sponsored events, please visit the City’s website at www.hollywoodfl.org. Additionally, all residents are encouraged to take preventative actions to help stop the spread of germs, such as hand washing, social distancing, and staying home if you are feeling sick.
If you are concerned that you have been exposed to COVID-19, Broward county is asking to please call 954-412-7300 before traveling to any health care facility.

In light of the social distancing recommendations due to COVID-19, the City encourages customers to utilize the many services currently offered online.
