On the second Wednesday of every month, you will find your favorite local Hooters Girls bringing food and fun to patients and their families at the Love Jen Family Support Center at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. And on Wednesday, January 10, representatives from the hospital and the South Florida President’s Council presented Pembroke Pines Hooters General Manager Joe Truglio and several Hooters Girls with an award thanking them. The award was given to Hooters from the South Florida President’s Council of Motorcycle Club and Organizations President Joey Quinter and his buddy, Santa Ed.
In addition to providing the food, the Hooters Girls enjoy participating in arts and crafts with the children and their siblings in the hospital’s playroom. “Hooters has been involved with Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital for many years,” said Hooters Director of Marketing Kristi Quarles. “Supporting our local community is a priority and the Hooters Girls enjoy the opportunity to put a smile on the children’s and their families faces during their monthly hospital visits.”
In addition to monthly visits, Hooters also supports the hospital’s annual prom for patients, the golf tournament benefitting the Patient and Family Advisory Council, their Radiothon and additional events for the children. LTP Management, a Franchisee of Hooters of America, owns and operates 16 locations in South Florida.
