Nomination and Voting Period
There will be a period for the community to submit nominations and show their support through voting. A business may be nominated in multiple categories. The nomination and voting period runs through Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:59 pm EST. Any person may cast votes. The same IP address can vote once per day per nominee, with a 24-hour reset (i.e., each 24 hour-period you may vote once for each of the nominees). You may vote for as many nominees as you like in a 24-hour period. But you cannot cast multiple votes for the SAME nominee in any given 24-hour period. You may vote for yourself, your organization and your favorite businesses, and then use the share buttons to encourage your networks and followers to do the same. Winners will be featured in Hollywood Gazette’s November 2013 issue.
It is permissible to encourage others to vote for you, your organization or any nominee. However, you may not buy votes or promise or reward people with monetary compensation in exchange for voting. Violation will result in disqualifying votes and/or complete disqualification, as determined in our sole discretion, and our decision is final. We reserve the right to disqualify votes that are machine-generated or follow an “unnatural” voting pattern, or show other irregularities, as demonstrated by our server logs. The decision to allow or disqualify votes for irregularities will be made in our sole discretion, and our decision is final.
