If you’ve walked the streets of downtown Hollywood lately, you may have noticed some unauthorized public art pieces in the form of bicycles covered in yarn. These yarn-bombed bikes were crafted by the organizers of the Odd Duck Bazaar with help from local artists in an effort to draw attention to their upcoming indie craft show. The bicycles were all salvaged from trash piles as well as most of the materials used to create them. These bikes represent beauty and sustainability in the busy, hectic world in which we live. Inspired by the growing collection of murals around the area, these Odd Ducks added another (temporary) layer of art to the streets of Hollywood.

The Odd Duck Bazaar is an annual shopping event that gives 74 independent artisans an opportunity to showcase and sell their handiwork. Vendors are hand picked for this show based on quality, originality and variety.

Odd Duck Bazaar is happening April 11th & 12th, 2015 at the Fred Lippman Center, 2030 Polk Street, downtown Hollywood from noon to 6pm. $5 admission and children under 12 are free. A free swag bag will be given to the first 50 shoppers each day.
