Downtown Hollywood's Muzart to re-open Aug. 1 at old Arts Academy of Hollywood building

Downtown Hollywood’s Muzart has been a haven for creative kids interested in performing and visual arts for over 15 years. Founded in 2001 and operated by Tina Buccellato, Muzart Creative Arts Studios is now under new ownership. Buccellato will be staying on board as a partner in the business.

The studio is set to re-open across the street from their previous location August 1 in the old Arts Academy of Hollywood building, at 1955 Harrison Street.

Bianca Fernandez, the studio’s new owner, is moving the studios into the renovated space.  Fernandez left the corporate world to get involved in a program geared for children. She has two young children of her own, and wanted to create a safe environment where kids could learn about creative arts and also have fun.

“We offer music, movement and music classes for children aged 18 months to 14 years old. For adults, we will have wine and painting parties as well as art instruction. We also host camps, birthday parties and Mommy and Me classes,” said Fernandez.

The Budding Artists Program is dedicated to working with children to instill confidence necessary for success in a traditional school setting. Through art, music and movement, children are guided to develop creative thinking and to learn through the arts. For children with an interest in music, classes in singing, piano, violin, guitar and drums are available. Classes in ballet, hip hop, and Zumba dancing are offered as well. Painting courses are available with both water colors and acrylic.

For adults, there is a date night program. Parents can bring their children to Muzart for four hours to enjoy enjoy a movie and popcorn while they enjoy an evening out on the town. Experienced artists facilitate wine and painting parties where adults create a painting and enjoy wine and light refreshments.

“I wanted to have a program for children and when I found out Muzart was for sale, I purchased it. My son enjoyed being a part of the Budding Artists Program when he was two. I am looking forward to building up this program and I hope to expand it,” she said.
