ArtsPark wins "Family Fun" Award, offers something for everyone

The ArtsPark at Young Circle consistently offers entertainment for all ages. The ArtsPark received a “Family Fun” Award from Broward Family Life. Every weekend, the ArtsPark offers free family-friendly activities, like Funtastic Fridays for children or the Friday Night Movie. The ArtsPark Live! Concert Series is offered every Saturday night at the Amphitheater, art exhibits such as glassblowing and jewelry-making are also among the many activities taking place at the ArtsPark Gallery. There are also dance classes and art programs offered at ArtsPark.

Andrea Baker loves coming to Food Truck Night at the ArtsPark at Young Circle. “I really enjoy it and I like the good food that is served here,” said Baker. “The people here are all very friendly and it is a good place to be.”

She bought dinner from Ruben Curiel who was selling Italian food. “This is a good place to be. I like the people here,” said Curiel.

Food Truck Night is a very popular activity on Monday nights at the ArtsPark. Nearly 2,000 people come together regularly to purchase food from about 25 to 28 food trucks. During a recent night, one could choose from a wide variety of cuisine including hamburgers, steak sandwiches, grilled chicken entrees, tacos, ice cream and other treats. Many families got together to enjoy a fun night. Some brought blankets and had a picnic. There is something for everyone.

“I like the variety of food you can buy here,” said Jamie Lundy.

Mitch Still brought his family from South Carolina. “I wanted my children to see the culture of South Florida. This is a good way to do it. We are having a good time,” he said.

Kathy Clark and her long-time friend Claudia Lear enjoyed spending a pleasant evening together. “We have been good friends since the first grade. We love to come here and enjoy the food,” said Clark.

Daisy Bonilla brought her sons Nick and Chris. “We like the food and this is a good place to hang out,” said Daisy.
