At some point in the early morning, during the day or late at night someone from the cast of that cult classic “Downtown Hollywood Dives” hunkers down at Octopus Garden (1942 Hollywood Blvd).
Being an early-bird myself, I typically choose the A.M. slot. There’s an added bonus to my madness—see I get to be served by Mac and Mac is quite a character in his own right.
Mac’s lived in Hollywood for these past 30-years and has walked the planks of such seminal saloons as O’Malley’s Ocean Pub, McGowan’s Lounge and DP’s Beach Bar.
The best kept secret in town is his $5.00 breakfast (I can say no more)…
The Octopus has something for everyone; there’s Pirate night, Ladies night, Karaoke night, Pole Dancing night—see what I mean—something for everybody.
