Party with a Purpose, a monthly networking and fundraising event, was held last night to benefit two Hollywood-based non-profits. Nearly 50 community leaders and movers and shakers gathered at The Greek Joint in Downtown Hollywood to network and socialize. The event raised money the Greater Hollywood Jaycees and the Liberia Economic and Social Development organization.
Mindy Gallagher, president of the Greater Hollywood Jaycees was glad to see people having a good time. Money raised from event will go toward the Jaycees’ many projects including a back-to-school shopping spree and Thanksgiving food baskets to help needy families.
Jeanette Smith, a board member for the Liberia Economic and Social Development organization also enjoyed Party with a Purpose. She said money from the event will go toward the organization’s food pantry which provides food for families in the community.
Newly-crowned Miss Hollywood USA 2016 Jacqueline Garcia-Casals, attended Party with a Purpose. She enjoy the opportunity to be part of an event that raises money to help people in Hollywood. Beauty of Wax owner, Maribel Ruiz secured a number of raffle prizes from local businesses to help raise even more money.
Everyone had a good time meeting with old acquaintances and making new friends. The next Party with a Purpose is set for April 7 at Lola’s from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. to benefit the Hollywood Women’s Club. Click here to RSVP to this one and see the lineup for future events.
Party with a Purpose is a volunteer-driven community event organized by the the Downtown Hollywood Business Association and sponsored by Hollywood Gazette and other participating local businesses. The event is held at participating establishments throughout Hollywood’s historic Downtown district and 100% of the money raised is donated to local non-profit organizations serving Hollywood, Florida.
